Do Less Harm: A Gentrifier Learning to Be a Neighbor (Working Title)

Expected Release: 2028

A memoir about a decade of neighboring on one single Capitol Hill block—and what it actually means to move into a community and become part of it. This book is an honest, funny, and unflinching look at the ways good intentions can cause unexpected harm, and how we can do better. (I’m currently deep in the writing process for this one—stay tuned as the story develops!)

The Adventures of Duke, the Therapy Dog: Duke Finds a Home

Illustrated by JohnPaul Snead

A children’s book I wrote for my son about our beloved late dog, Duke. It captures the spirit of companionship, resilience, and finding exactly where you belong.

The “Books, Babies & Booze” National Tour

15+ City National Tour at family-friendly breweries nationwide

A multi-city tour I launched to bring parents together at the intersection of community, storytelling, and real life. Spanning over 15 cities, the tour proved that family-friendly spaces and high-impact, honest conversations can happen exactly where people already naturally gather.

A dark green background with white text that reads "Fresh Olives" and smaller text underneath that says "Working Title."
Book cover titled "Mommy Didn't Say That..." featuring an illustration of a worried woman with a black bar over her mouth with symbols, wearing a purple shirt and blue jacket, against a green background. The book is written by Allison McGill & Charla Everhart, illustrated by John Paul Snead.

Fresh Olives (Working Title)

Looking Ahead: ~2035

A reflective life memoir centered around a pivotal moment in Jerusalem: a friend’s warning, an olive eaten anyway, and the core philosophy that has defined my life ever since.

Mommy Didn’t Say That

Co-written with Charla Everhart and illustrated by JohnPaul Snead

A parody book I co-wrote to capture the hilariously unfiltered, chaotic, and very real moments of motherhood. This book was the centerpiece of our regional “Sip & Sign” tour, bringing a lot of laughs (and a little wine) to parents across Atlanta, Nashville, Dalton, Greenville, and Grand Junction.

A large indoor book signing and reading event with many people sitting and standing at tables, engaging in an event or workshop, with colorful geometric wall murals and string lights hanging from the ceiling.
